Welcome to the varied art of Alan Castleton, from cartoons to fine art with the odd grumble or two thrown in for good measure.

R.I.P. Tigger
Lost an old friend yesterday. Tigger, a Springer Spaniel and all round trouble maker, (he recently made the press with the headline 'dog stuck in wheelie bin, rescued by firemen) was nearly 18 and had suffered two strokes in the last year but was a real fighter to the last, yesterday he succumbed to liver failure and we said our goodbyes before the final sleep.
I've never really been a doggy person but I inherited Tigger when I married his owner and he's been my shadow ever since.
Life with Tigger was mostly a battle of wills....which he often won. He was stubborn, awkward, noisy, smelly and could be destructive just to get attention and if he got knocked down he would get straight back up again....In some ways he reminds me of ....me.
And that's how he got under my skin...and why I wont forget him.
